77th Annual International Training Conference
April 26-30, 2026 St. Louis, MO

Guest Program

While the ITC attendees are learning new techniques regarding fire investigation, join us for a week of fun, laughs and fellowship along with a chance to see some of the beautiful sights in and around St. Louis. Below are some of the activities currently planned for the week.

St. Louis is famous for its iconic Gateway Arch, a landmark of architectural innovation and Thomas Jefferson’s vision for a transcontinental nation, the Gateway Arch is the tallest monument in the United States.  Our first day will include a visit to the top of the arch by its one-of-a-kind trams for views stretching 30 miles in every direction. We will also enjoy the Mississippi River up close from a riverboat cruise with some of the best views of downtown St. Louis.

Forest Park is a 1,300-acre park that encompasses woodlands and waterways and many of the museums that St. Louis is famous for.  We will be visiting the Missouri History Museum, which explores the city’s rich history from its founding in 1764 to the 1904 World’s Fair.

Within Forest Park sits the Missouri Botanical Gardens, which was founded in1859 and boasts that it is one of the nation’s oldest botanical gardens in continuous operation as well as a National Landmark. The Garden is a center for botanical research and science education, and we will be exploring the 79 acres of beautiful horticultural displays including a 14-acre Japanese Strolling Garden.

Next, we will be exploring some Route 66 attractions with a stop at Meramec Caverns, which is not only rumored to be one of Jesse James’ hideouts but also hosts complex mineral formations with colors as rare and unique as they are beautiful and witness a rare wine table formation as the highlight of our tour.

The World Bird Sanctuary that hosts over 200 raptors will be a stop off Route 66 where we will learn about the raptors in residence, their hospital that rehabilitates over 700 birds of prey every year, and we will even have a special up-close visit with a bald eagle.

Our time on Route 66 would not be complete without a stop at the famous Ted Drewes to sample its incredible thick custard treats called “Concretes” which are so dense they can be served upside down and has been a St. Louis tradition since 1959.

Since its founding in 1852, Anheuser-Busch has honored its historic brewing methods, maintaining a tradition of brewing the finest beers, one batch at a time.  We will be visiting the oldest and largest brewery site where we will be exploring the campus, learning about their brewing methods, and having an up-close encounter with one of the world-renowned Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales.

This is the itinerary that is expected, however, circumstances out of our control may necessitate a change or substitution.

We look forward to you joining our adventures for the week, so be prepared to have some fun, relax and make some new friends.
